Skincare Edit UK (skincareedit.co.uk) is Melanie Grant's online skincare store. It is operated by, and products are sold by, Melanie Grant Ltd (company number 13870284, VAT number GB 477 1469 56), registered office 129 Mount Street, London W1K 3NX, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this store and to products you buy from it. They work together with our Returns Policy, Shipping Policy and Privacy Policy. They are the same terms as the Terms of Sale for this country on melaniegrant.com. Nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Using the store
You may use the store for lawful, personal purposes only. Please keep your account details secure and give us accurate information when you order. We may suspend or change the store, or any part of it, and may refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably need to, for example where a product is unavailable, there is a pricing error, or we suspect fraud. If we cancel an order, we will refund any payment taken.
Products and information
We take care to describe products accurately. Product information, including ingredients and claims, comes from the brands we stock, and packaging may change; always read the label before use. Colours and textures may look slightly different on screen.
Advice on this store, from our team or in our content, is general in nature and is not medical advice. Patch test new products, and speak to your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a skin condition, or use prescription skincare. If you have a reaction, stop using the product and seek advice.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Prices in other currencies, where offered at checkout, are converted for convenience; any import duties or taxes for deliveries outside the UK are explained in our Shipping Policy. Delivery charges are shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you order. If we find an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before dispatch, and you may cancel for a full refund.
Your order
When you place an order, you will receive an acknowledgement email. This confirms we have received your order but does not form a contract. A binding contract arises when we send an email confirming that your order has been dispatched.
Delivery
Delivery timeframes, charges, and the treatment of any customs and import duties are set out in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
Returns, refunds and your rights
Our Returns Policy explains how to return a product, and what we offer beyond the law.
Your right to cancel. For most online purchases you may cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason, as set out in our Returns Policy. This does not apply to sealed cosmetic and skincare products that have been unsealed after delivery, as these are exempt for health and hygiene reasons.
Faulty or misdescribed goods. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a product is faulty or not as described, you are entitled to the appropriate remedy, which may include a refund, replacement or repair.
Gift cards, promotions and loyalty
Gift cards, promotional codes and loyalty rewards are subject to the terms shown with them at the time they are issued.
Reviews, comments and third-party links
If you submit a review or comment, it must be genuine, lawful and about your own experience; we may moderate or remove content that is not. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.
Intellectual property
The content on this store, including text, images and the Melanie Grant and Skincare Edit names, belongs to us or our licensors. Please do not copy or reuse it without our permission.
Our liability
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable, or for business losses: we sell our products for domestic and private use only. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for breach of your statutory rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown when you place an order applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts, and you keep the protection of any mandatory law of the country where you live.
